Access and link problems
A client says the link does not work, or an invitation will not accept.
Who this is for: Anyone whose client cannot open a proposal, and admins whose invites are failing.
Your client cannot open the proposal
Open the share dialogue and check the link's state
A link is active, expired or revoked. Expired and revoked links do not open.
If it expired, create a new one
Expiry cannot be extended. Create a fresh link with a longer window, or with no expiry.
If it was revoked, create a new one
Revocation is permanent for that link, by design.
Check they have the whole URL
A link truncated by an email client is the most common cause of an otherwise unexplained failure.
An invitation will not accept
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The page says the invite has expired | Invites expire 7 days after they are created. | Issue a new invite. |
| The page says the invite has already been used | Invites are single-use. | Issue a new invite. |
| The page names a different email address | The invite is bound to a specific address and you are signed in as someone else. | Sign in as the invited address, or issue a new invite to the address actually in use. |
| The invite form is disabled | The organisation is at its seat limit. | An owner adds seats in Settings → Billing, or removes an inactive member. |
You cannot see content you expected
- Check the workspace switcher. Personal and organisation workspaces are strictly separated, and a personal project is never visible in the organisation.
- The workspace selection is stored per browser, so a different device can be pointing at a different workspace.
- Members see only their own trashed projects; owners and admins see everyone's.
- A suspended member cannot read organisation content at all.

- Public proposal linksA public link shows your client a frozen copy of the proposal, with no sign-in, and can be given an expiry date or revoked at any time.
- Invite people to your workspaceOwners and admins generate an invite link for a specific email address; it expires after 7 days and can only be used once.
- Workspaces and isolationPersonal and organisation workspaces are strictly separated, and the separation is enforced at the database level rather than in the interface.
